i don’t have a co signer can i still get student loan ?

one person had asked if he could get a student loan in following condition:

1. he dose not have a valid co signer
2. the loan amount exceeds 10k
3. He does not have any credit

i think he will have a tough time finding out a private student loan company which will provide student loan on above conditions, the basic rule of thumb is that almost all private student loan providers need a valid co signer before they approve loan amount. some people might have very good credit history but still it is almost customary to ask for a co signer , so in this case he might not get loan despite having good credit record.
there is one option where the school which you are getting loan for, comes to rescue you . you can ask from school if they are having such loan programs where they help prospective students with loan formalities .

if joe does not qualify for federal financial aid can he get a decent private student loan ?

suppose joe studies in a school which doesn’t help him with his expenses by providing federal student loans ,. although joe has good credit record and also has a co signer he still does not know which one to choose from among various private loan providers.

tip:

joe should carefully look at terms and conditions of private loan companies since private providers has rules and qualifying with their rules is also a lot of work . joe could apply to places like sallie Mae where he could get good deal provided he qualifies for it .
also a co signer is must in case of such private loan providers.
